For decades, the world's high school and college students have been the beneficiaries of a unique education in politics, diplomacy, and foreign affairs. The Model United Nations experience brings to life the problems that face the real world and allows participants to represent their assigned country's position and work towards resolving issues of global importance.

Now in our 22nd year, MUNUC has distinguished itself as the premier high school United Nations simulation in the country. MUNUC has received considerable national praise for its professionalism and overall quality.

MUNUC XXII Registration now closed

2009-09-22 18:18:25 UTC
Dear MUN Advisors,

Registration for our Twenty-Second Annual Model United Nations of the University of Chicago is now officially closed. If you have not yet registered, your placement cannot be guaranteed, and any questions should be directed to Ms. Alexa Tompary at admin@munuc.org. For advisors who have already registered, please take the time this week to enter your country preferences into AdvisorWeb before they close this Thursday, September 24th.

In addition, if you have an interest in having delegates serve on the Joint Cabinet Crisis, INTERPOL, or Press Corps, please direct an email expressing this interest to admin@munuc.org.

As of this time we plan on having countries assigned by September 28th, at which time delegate rosters, hotel room requests, and medical and liability forms will be made available.

Thank you all very much for your interest in MUNUC! Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to address them to munuc@munuc.org, and we will do our best to respond as soon as possible.

MUNUC XXII Registration

2009-06-04 21:53:08 UTC
We are pleased to announce that registration for MUNUC XXII is now open. If you are interested in requesting a spot in the JCC, INTERPOL, or Press Corps, please remember to check the specified boxes when registering on the website. You must register, as well as submit country preferences, by Sunday, September 20.

This year, we are excited to invite you and your school to an on-campus reception the University of Chicago Admissions Office is hosting on Thursday morning of conference before registration begins. During this event, you will have the opportunity to tour our campus and speak to faculty. If you are interested in attending, please indicate so by checking the appropriate field on the registration form.

If your school would like additional information about what exactly MUNUC is, what separates us from other conferences, or even if you would like training for novice delegates on Model UN parliamentary procedure, we would be happy to take a trip to your school to present information about these topics in person. Feel free to contact Ms. Mayon Yen at mal@munuc.org or (773) 834-0547 if you'd like to arrange such a visit. If we cannot reach your school due to distance, we would be happy to send along some helpful materials upon request.

Additionally, right now we are in the process of looking into opportunities for you and your delegation to explore the city during conference. In the past, we have offered discounted passes to the Sears Tower as well as information about museums and events downtown. Because we are dedicated to enriching your total experience at MUNUC, we are also committed to bringing you new and exciting opportunities outside of the committee room. For more information, feel free to visit the See Chicago! section of our website in the coming weeks.

Thank you, and we hope to see you in February!
